Digital Media Class

(Established 2008)
Age 17+
 
Evening Course in video production and webcasting.

The goal of the program is to engage students identified with Aspergers syndrome in learning aspects of digital media careers as well as social skills needed in the work place. The environment requires students to ask questions, listen to responses and then make final decisions. The class utilizes state of art audio and video equipment that webcasters and newsrooms use today. New evening courses are offered each semester.

We Participate in the Following Programs:

Peer/Volunteer Program
Always looking for peers who can volunteer in all programs at the Lighthouse Voc. Ed. Center. To participate as positive role models.

Work Program
Available to provide a vocational site for high school students (short and long term) exploring various careers and their capabilities in those careers.

Vocational Programs
Available to provide exploration vocational options with our students.

Vocational Assessments
Available to provide holistic assessment for a students future needs as required by transition planning as well as MAPS.

Grace Curtis Conference
Each year we offer a day of professional development, with CEU’s available for professionals and families in our state.
